Meeru Rider Game · Privacy policy
Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Meeru Rider Game (“the game”) is a free browser game made by Meeru, set in Addu City, Maldives. This policy explains what information the game and its website at www.meeruridergame.com collect, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to the game wherever you play it and to this website.
The short version
- You can play as a guest without giving us any personal information.
- If you sign in, we use only what we need to save your progress and let you ride with others: an account identifier, and your name or email from the sign-in provider you choose.
- We don’t sell your information, don’t show ads, and don’t share data with advertisers.
- The game never uses your real location, camera, microphone or contacts, and never asks for payment details.
Information we collect
| Information | When | Why we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Game settings, progress and an anonymous player ID, stored in your browser | Always | So the game remembers your progress on that device. Clearing your browser data removes it. |
| A guest account ID and game progress (XP, level, Meeru Coins, stats, unlocked items) | When the game connects to our server | To save your game and keep it fair (for example, to limit daily rewards). |
| Your mobile number | Only if you sign in with the Meeru App | To send a one-time sign-in code to your Meeru App and link your progress to your account. |
| Your first name from your Meeru App account | Only if you sign in with the Meeru App | To greet you on your player card. Other players never see it. |
| Your Google account ID, name and email address | Only if you choose “Sign in with Google” | To create and sign in to your game account, and to show your name on your player card. Other players never see your email or Google name. |
| Your rider name, level, scooter and uniform, and your position on the game map | While riding together with other players | So other riders can see you in the game. Positions are shared live and are not stored. |
| Races, gifts opened and coupon codes won | When you race or open a gift | To give out rewards fairly, once per account. |
| Reports you send or receive about rider names or behaviour | When a report is made | To keep riding together friendly and safe. |
| Usage events (for example: page viewed, game started, delivery completed, level reached), device type and browser | While you use the website or the game | To understand how the game is played and improve it. See “Analytics” below. |
Sign in with Google
If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your basic profile with us: your Google account ID, your name and your email address. We ask only for these basic permissions (“openid”, “email” and “profile”). We do not ask for, and cannot access, your Gmail, contacts, Drive, calendar or any other Google data.
We use this information only to create your game account, sign you in, and show your name on your own player card. We do not sell it, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed below that run the game for us.
Meeru Rider Game’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can remove the game’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account settings (Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services).
Analytics
We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to count visits and understand which parts of the game are used, for example how many players complete their first delivery. Analytics on this website and in the game:
- do not use cookies (an anonymous identifier is kept in your browser’s local storage instead);
- never include your phone number, email address or names;
- link events to your game account ID only after you sign in;
- do not record your screen.
Your browser’s IP address is processed by PostHog to deliver the service and to estimate your country; we do not use it to identify you.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that run the game for us, and only as needed to do so:
- Cloudflare: hosting of the website and the game, and network security.
- Our game server host: stores game accounts and progress.
- PostHog: product analytics, as described above.
- Google: only if you choose Sign in with Google, to confirm your sign-in.
- The Meeru App: only if you sign in with your Meeru App number, to deliver your sign-in code. Coupon codes you win are redeemed in the Meeru App under its own terms and privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect players and the game from fraud or abuse.
Children
The game is friendly for all ages. You can play without signing in. Children should ask a parent before signing in. Rider names are filtered, chat is limited to a set of friendly quick messages, and players can hide or report other riders. If you believe a child has given us personal information without a parent’s consent, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep information
- Game accounts and progress are kept while the account is in use. Guest accounts that are inactive for 12 months may be deleted.
- Live positions while riding together are never stored.
- Analytics events are kept for up to 12 months.
- When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your game data within 30 days.
Your choices and rights
- Play as a guest: no sign-in is needed to play.
- Sign out at any time from the game’s Account screen.
- Access or delete your data: contact us (below) and we will send you a copy of your game data or delete your account and its progress.
- Remove Google access from your Google Account settings at any time.
Security
Connections to the website, the game and our server are encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in uses one-time codes or Google’s secure sign-in; the game never sees your Google password.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the game changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will say so in the game.
